Description

Fexofenadine is an antihistamine that treats allergies and hay fever. The body releases a chemical called histamine when triggered by dust or pollen. This causes inflammation resulting in hay fever. Fexofenadine is effective against symptoms like watery and itchy eyes.� It contains fexofenadine hydrochloride, an antihistamine. The medication can be taken alongside a nasal spray or eye drops.

Warnings

Fexofenadine is unsuitable for you if:

  • You are allergic to Fexofenadine or any of the tablet�s inactive ingredients.
  • You are currently taking other antihistamine tablets.
  • You are taking medicines to treat bacterial or fungal infections.

Drinking alcohol may increase your susceptibility to side effects. Talk to your GP if you suffer from the below before taking Fexofenadine:

  • Have a history of heart disease.
  • Have kidney or liver problems.
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Are elderly.
  • Take indigestion medicines that contain aluminum and magnesium.

Directions

  • Take the capsule once daily, ideally at the same time every day. Swallow the tablet whole with a sip of water.
  • Take Fexofenadine before a meal.
  • The medication is most effective if taken every day. If you miss a dose, do not double your next dose to compensate.

Ingredients

Each tablet contains the active ingredient fexofenadine hydrochloride. Fexofenadine also includes the following inactive ingredients Microcrystalline cellulose, Pregelatinised maize starch, Croscarmellose sodium, Magnesium stearate, Hypromellose, Povidone K30, Titanium dioxide (E171), Colloidal anhydrous silica, Macrogol 400, Red iron oxide (E172), and Yellow iron oxide (E172).
